*I like to have paper buttons "rain" down on the kids like confetti as I read this book.  They go crazy anytime I do this with them!

This is the top of my cupcake I made for the flannelboard.  As I'm reading the story, I take down a piece of the cupcake. The parents and kids went wild over this!  I hide my mouse behind the cupcake liner and show reveal the mouse at the end of the book.

Ten little kittens, standing in a row.

They bow their heads to the kids just so.

They run to the left, they run to the right.

They run real fast and then real slow.

They run real high and then real low.

Along comes a puppy dog, looking for some fun.

Woof, woof, woof!  Away the kittens run.

Fingerplays:

Walking, walking, walking, walking.  Hop, hop, hop.  Hop, hop, hop.

Running, running, running.  

Running, running, running.

Now we stop!  Now we stop!
