Preschool Storytime:
Opening: Big Books
Fingerplay: Animal Guessing Game
*Read off riddles taped to back of animals and let kids guess before showing animal. The kids love guessing games and they guess the animals very quickly!
Book: Pigs Make Me Sneeze!
*My volunteer was piggie and I was elephant. I had a big bandanna I used as my Kleenex. They kids were so funny watching me sneeze. A great book to use for this theme!
Fingerplay/Flannel: Animal Sounds Mix-Up
*Place animal sounds and animal up on flannelboard, but in wrong order. Then show kids and ask them if it’s correct. Switch around a couple of times, before placing in correct order.
Fingerplay/Flannel: Lion Hiding Game
Book: Felicity Floo Visits the Zoo (Make green handprints to stick on animals)
*I was so excited to use this adorable book! The kids didn't enjoy it near as much as I had hoped they would, but I still think it's a great read-aloud.
Fingerplay/Flannel: Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed
Book: Who Am I? By Jenkins
Extra Books:
Our craft today was a torn paper tiger! The preschooler glued everything down. The cutest part was they thought the stripes we laid out were whiskers for the tiger!

Time for Two’s Storytime:
Opening: Big Books
Fingerplay: If You Want to Hear a Story
Book: Do Crocs Kiss? (With puppets)
*Went crazy making noises and naming off animals.
Fingerplay/Flannel: Lion Hiding Game
*The kids loved that I had something hidden behind every door.
Fingerplay: Zoo Animal Action Cards
Book: So Cozy (With puppets and bed)
*The two's were super quiet during this book. I think because the puppets were out in the open and not popping up behind something like they usually are.
