Happy Birthday Harry!

I'm late posting, but last week we celebrated Harry's birthday!  Shew, I'm still recovering from it!  We had an amazing attendance of people, so I'm very grateful for that!  We had 150 Kids and 75 Adults show up, which is astounding.  Below are pics from everything we did.  On to the next party!

My favorite part is the giant chess set which we were able to borrow.  Don't you love it???  Our inside games were the chess set, bingo, pin the sock on Dobby and musical chairs.  Click here to get the free bingo game which is absolutely magical!

Outside we had three games, giant connect four, giant bubbles and giant bowling.  Aren't the characters adorable on the bowling pins below?  My character made them for me and I just love them!!!

Originally this craft was a bookmark, but I wanted to make it bigger.  So, we enlarged it!  Everyone really seemed to like it, and the good thing is we do have plenty left over.  I think that everyone didn't realize that they could make one of each, so that was my fault that I didn't clarify that.

This craft was the only one the kids didn't seem to like, even though I loved it!

We had one other craft which was the most popular and it was our button maker!  We had all the house buttons to choose from and then some smaller buttons that had really cute sayings on them.  Unfortunately I didn't take pictures but our machine is super easy to use and everyone loved it!

Pictured below are the food we had and needless to say we run out of everything very quickly!  We do have a fabulous popcorn machine and we went through five bags of popcorn.  After that we called it quits on the popcorn.  We did make two 2-liters of butterbeer, four batches of Kool-Aid and all the food pictured below.  We had some hungry people, but that's okay!

I did make two of these, but everyone loves cupcakes!  I have to say, the pull-apart cupcake cakes are super easy, they just take a lot of icing to cover.

This was my favorite thing to make and very simple to mold.  I am definitely going to make something like for our October party.  Simple ingredients, little prep time and the kids went crazy over it!  We did have two of these, so that helped with feeding people.  Also, you can see in the picture that we had chocolate chip cookies and Jelly Belly jelly beans.

My volunteer made the birdcage and the owl.  The owl is from a washcloth, isn't it cute?  To find out how to make him, click here!

I love putting things on the floor, to lead people into the auditorium.  So, what better thing to use than spiders!!!

SRP Finale 2019

Can you believe the summer is over???  I can't!!!!  We had three finale parties, and below are all the fun things that we did!  
Here are our attendance numbers for the week:
Preschool 28 Kids, Elementary 50 Kids, Two's 20 Kids

Preschool Finale Party:

The preschoolers loved all the crafts, except the astronaut.  I believe that the jet packs were the biggest hit of all!  They adored wearing the jet packs, most of them didn't take them off the entire time!

We have started taking games outside, to add more items to our parties.  Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate, so we had to cut down on what we offered to the preschoolers.  I do believe that they still had a lot of fun!

Above is the entrance to our star tunnel.  It took my volunteer (my mom) and I about three hours to do this.  But the kids went bonkers over it!  I am trying to salvage it, so that I can turn it into a Christmas tunnel at December.  Below is a side view of the tunnel, and the lights run above and on the other side of the tunnel too.  The last picture is a view of the top of the tunnel.

Elementary Finale Party:

All of the crafts were very popular with the elementary age kids, except for the constellation weaving.  I honestly need to quit trying weaving crafts with my kids at the library, they just don't like them.  On the other hand, they went crazy over the shaving cream planets!  I highly recommend you do this, we are already planning on using them again, just doing something besides a planet.  They were super simple, ours just took a bit longer to dry.

Games...

The best game of all was.....a stomp rocket!  I was a little hesitant to do this, but it was a true blast!  Word of warning, do not use this near trees, because two of our rockets got stuck in a tree!  LOL....thankfully I have two back-up rockets that I can use.  I have attached a video, hopefully it plays.  If you place the rocket on the launcher near the top, it won't go very far.  If you place the rocket near the bottom, it will go extremely far!

We also left the star tunnel out, which is pictured above.  I was afraid that the elementary age might not enjoy it, but they loved it!

This is our giant connect four set, which I am obsessed with!  Isn't it amazing?

My boss made an awesome bubble wand, and we went outside to make giant bubbles!

The two's also made a torn paper rocket for another craft.






We also left the star tunnel out, which is pictured above, for the two's.  Thankfully it survived all week, so I'm happy!
