I grabbed a second banana and hid under the sink.
I began to peel the banana skin back and saw the banana inside was PINK
I snuck back in the kitchen trying not to make a scene.
I began to peel the banana skin back and saw the banana inside was GREEN
I tiptoed to the kitchen but it was not getting time for bed.
I began to to peel the banana skin back to only to find this banana inside was RED
I decided to give it one more try……
So I ran into the kitchen, and stared at the last banana.
Stared at it with all my might.
I grabbed the banana and peeled the skin back and guess what?????????
The banana was finally WHITE!

Fingerplay/Flannel: I am Sam
I am Sam, Sam I am.  I do like GREEN eggs and ham!
*For this I have different colored eggs.  I will say the words above and hold up any egg but the green one.  The preschoolers love correcting me and telling me I have the wrong egg.  A great way to help with color recognition.

Fast and Slow

 Book: Everybunny Count!

Fingerplay: Fast and Slow
For this fun activity, I show a vehicle or item to the kids.  Then I ask them if this item goes fast or slow.  I chose to wave my scarf fast or slow, but you could always ask the kids to run in place fast or slow, or even wave their hands fast or slow.  This is a great learning tool and the kids are just having fun!
