February New Books

*What can I say, this book really "tugs" on my heart!  I have a soft spot for tugboats, and the adorable expressions in this book really hit home with me!  This book is great for a boat themed storytime because the rhythm is really great through it.  The pages rhyme, which I love, and there is a lot of noisy words that you can make too!  What a wonderful book!  Toot, toot!

*Don't you love the scrawny little mouse with the big ole ears balancing all the scrumptious food?  I can't wait to use this book in storytime!  I'd love to take all the food and balance it somehow on my mouse.  Whether I make the food out of felt or tell this story using boxes, I think it will be a hit!

What a delicious book this is!  All through the book pizza pig cooks up scrumptious pizzas for all his animal friends!  I can already see serving yummy pizzas to my puppets!  But turtle doesn't want to eat until pizza pig sits down with him.  How sweet is that?  The rhyming text in this book just makes this that much better!

*Geronimo!  This book makes a huge splash!  It's such a great book to use for counting, ducks, water, and even a mom storytime.  All the little ducks fall off the bridge into the water, but where is mom?  Still on top of the bridge.  Will she go after them?  Of course!  I can't wait to use this in storytime, along with my ducks, of course!

*This book is so adorable!  All through the book are owl shaped cutouts, that show each owl disappearing from the page.  It's a great rhyming book too, which is always a great hit with the kids.  I can't wait to use this at my next bedtime storytime.

*Another wonderful addition to your bedtime theme, sleepover duck!  Fuzzy little duckling is looking for the friend who hollered woo-hoo!  Who could it be?  Why owlet, of course!  What a fun book about the farm and bedtime too.

*What a great interactive book to use!  The animals at the zoo are being described throughout the book, and there are breaks for the kids to act out the sounds with you.

*This series is wonderful, and this addition doesn't disappoint!

*What a precious book to teach the real meaning of Christmas.  The illustrations are breathtaking, and the animals in this book will reach out and appeal to the kids wonderfully.  I highly recommend this book to help teach kids, young and old, the true meaning of Christmas.

*Oh, this book made me chuckle!  While there aren't many words, the illustrations are hilarious!  What a great take on the beloved story we all know, Goldilocks and The Three Bears.  Trust me, you won't regret reading this one!
