Socks and Shoes (Storytime)

 Opening: Big Books

Book: Shoe Dog

*I didn't do this, but next time I read this I plan on using some props.  Because the dog in the story loves getting new shoes out of the box and chewing on them.  I think it'd be cute to have some shoe boxes stuffed with tissue paper to use throughout the story.

Fingerplay: This Is What My Feet Can Do
(Tune: Mary Had a Little Lamb)
This is what my feet can do,  feet can do,  feet can do.
This is what my feet can do.
Can you do it too?
Let your feet go up and down, up and down, up and    down.
Let your feet go up and down.
Can you do it too?
Can your feet to tiptoeing, tiptoeing, tiptoeing.
Can your feet to tiptoeing.
All around the room.
Make your feet go stomp, stomp, stomp.
Stomp, stomp, stomp.  Stomp, stomp, stomp.
Make your feet go stomp, stomp, stomp.
All around the room.
Now your feet can sit right down, sit right down, sit right down.
Now your feet can sit right down.
Quietly please.
