This is my storytime blog! I hope that you find it useful to your planning. I do storytime twice a week at my local library, for preschool and two year-olds. I absolutely love my job and am very blessed to be doing what I love every day!

August New Books 2018 (Part 1)
*I am in love with this series, even though they are super simple. Maybe that's why I love them for my two's. I didn't think I'd like the felt flaps, but I really like that added texture. If you've not purchased them, I highly recommend it!
*This book is beautiful! On the left side of each page, you will see each color vibrantly displayed. On the right, you will have a rhyming paragraph that tells you something interactive to do with the corresponding color. I was hoping this book would be fun, but I had no idea it would turn out this gorgeous. The think I love the most? It has a bible verse on the very back page, which just ties it all together for me.
*Don't you just want to cuddle with baby Frankenstein? Who doesn't! This board book reaches out and grabs you from the first page, literally!
*Great additions to the pop-up peekaboo series.
*This is my new favorite shape book! Each page has multiple lift-the-flap spots on it for you to explore, which makes this a wonderful guessing book. I can't wait to use this in storytime!
*I admit, I'm not a big fan of cats, I'm a dog person. But the cats on the cover of this book, especially the fluffy middle one, has stole my heart. I plan on making lots of cats out of paper, and placing them onto boxes. Because you stack the cats as you read this book, and then the cats topple over! So my cats can be stacked as I read, then can be knocked over!
*This book is great for kids learning the footprints of baby animals. I think my preschoolers will have so much fun with this book!
*This is truly a frightfully funny counting book that has many monsters hiding out in it! A great read-aloud for Halloween or a monstrously fun storytime!
